Nervousness

Does nervousness have anything to do with your nerves? You bet it does . what happens when you get nervous when you have to speak or sing in front of an audience? Or what happens when you get nervous before an interview board? Or when you have to speak a part in a play? May be you feel restless and excited. But other things may happen too.

Your heart beats faster. Your hands sweat and shake. You may even get a stomach ache. This all starts in the part of the brain where you begin thinking about a problem. The anxious thoughts cause signals to race along nerves to cells that spill a powerful chemical in to your blood. Moments later the chemical is at work, making your heart beet faster and your sweat glands pour out sweat. You may have a stomach upset, or even diarrhea.

If a person feels especially nervous, more and more of the chemical pours out. Actors call the result “stage fright”. It makes them forget the words they are supposed to say. Nervousness doesn’t last very long, as a rule. The stage fright chemical stops spilling in to your blood, and your body gets back to normal. If not, better see a doctor immediately.

Funding scheme stopped by Google

Google has established Best Practice Funding scheme in 2006 and suddenly in the start of 2009 they stopped this scheme. Actually they started to aid the growing focus on search marketing amongst agencies, and also to promote skills training and the usage of new technology in the sector. This may affect the digital marketing campaigns. Because of best practice funding Google has succeeded in Europe and the agencies are advanced. But BPF was exploited by some clients changing between marketing agencies to benefit from the scheme, as well as agencies themselves using the funding to win contracts by offering lower management fees and covering up poor and uninspiring performance.
Companies and agencies whose business models have previously relied on Best Practice Funding will no longer be able to acquire clients unless they choose to focus on the advancement, innovation and overall progression of their search marketing offering. From January, business will be obtained by the quality and reputation of each agency, and a healthy increase in competition will be witnessed as services become more uniquely geared towards each specific business and campaign

GSM stands for Groupe Speciale Mobile, was started in 1982, and now, 20 years later, is currently made up of over 120+ commercial 3GSM networks in more than 50 countries and boasts about 100 million subscriptions. This is big business. In 2008 there were over 3 billion connections in the GSM alone. In countries where landlines never got off the ground especially Africa and China mobile is the best way for businesses to run. The broad concept of wireless intelligence, only hinted at in 2004, has taken hold of the world economy and made it possible for underdeveloped nations to get a purchase on the 21st century. Mobile phone color screens were launched in 2001 and mobile phone cameras in 2002. Now, you can use the phones as handheld computers, even buy tickets from mobile ticketing sites, or do money transfer. Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS) went live in 2002, and now, in 2009, approach a level of sophistication that boggles the mind.

How to select a employee for the organization

Posted on 20th June 2009 by in arts, bloggers

No matter what kind of business you have, hiring the right people is the key to making it successful. You need good employees and if you start out with the right group of people, your business will become successful much quicker than if you have to go through a process of hiring and firing people because they just are not the right people to meet your needs.

If they are qualified to do the job, there is no reason not to hire them as long as you are capable of separating business relationships from personal relationships. In other words, there must be an understanding that they will be treated no differently at work than any other employee and that you will not make any special allowances.
If you fail to do that, you are setting yourself up for controversy from your friends and relatives because you do not treat them differently from your other employees. Most new business owners do not have a clue about hiring people to work for them, so you may have to consider getting some college credits on human resource education and tactics, choosing good employees or similar subjects. If you are not comfortable with the idea of hiring staff members, you might enlist the services of a recruitment firm to at least help you get some prospects into prospective.

Artificial Skin

Posted on 17th June 2009 by in health, news

A team from four Fraunhofer institutes in Germany is developing the first fully automatic production system for two-layer skin models an almost perfect copy of human skin or artificial skin. According to the scientists, in a multi-stage process, first small pieces of skin are sterilized. Then they are cut into small pieces, modified with specific enzymes, and isolated into two cell fractions, which are then propagated separately on cell culture surfaces. The next step in the process combines the two cell types into a two-layer model, with collagen added to the cells that are to form the flexible lower layer, or dermis. This gives the tissue natural elasticity.

In a humid incubator kept at body temperature, it takes the cell fractions less than three weeks to grow together and form a finished skin model with a diameter of roughly one centimeter.

The technique has already proven its use in practice, but until now it has been too expensive and complicated for mass production, according to the scientists. The production is associated with a great deal of manual work, and this reduces the method’s efficiency. The team is now handling the development of the biological fundamentals and validation of the machine and its sub-modules, taking care of prototype development, automation and integration of the machine into a complete system. Their goal is a monthly production of 5,000 skin models with perfect quality.

Raasi Art Foundation, a non profit organization in Adayar is trying to reorganize, nurture and sustain this artistic tradition and its current exhibition cum sale vouches for the richness of our traditional art. Tanjore paintings are known for their intricacy and ornateness. Simple figures enveloped in embellished designs and gilded in golden sheen are the hallmark of these art works. The style and form of the paintings are revealed in the commonality of their features while providing scope for each artist to indulge in his own individual style. Mysore paintings depict characters from ancient epics. Mythological stories are the sources of creativity for Mysore paintings. Each line brings out the minutest detail and each stroke is pregnant with meaning. Soft, delicate colours leave a lasting impression. The murals of Kerala tell impressive stories in pancha varna (five colours) namely yellow ochre, Indian red, indigo, sap green and lamp black. Human forms with stylized facial expressions and gestures are features of Kerala Mural Paintings. These perfect foils to any wall are from Guruvayur and Thiruvananthapuram.

The other exhibits at Raasi Art Foundation include oil paintings on canvas and carved wood craft.  Raja Ravi Varma’s reproduced works are on display as are idols made of single piece of wood. Chiselled to perfection these images are the handi work of trained artisans. Lack of demand is forcing many of these traditional artists to give up their art and take up other alternative professions like interior decoration instead. Art works are priced from Rs150- Rs 35,000 in the exhibition-cum-sale.

The US Department of Homeland Security released a tool to detect whether a computer is infected by the Conficker worm. The department, in a statement, said the detection tool for the Conficker worm, also known as DownAdUP, had been developed by the US Computer Emergency Readiness Team. While tools have existed for individual users, this is the only free tool and the most comprehensive one available for enterprises like federal and state government and private sector networks to determine the extent to which their systems are infected by this worm, said US-CERT director Mischel Kwon.

Our experts at US-CERT are working around the clock to increase our capabilities to address the cyber risk to our nation’s critical networks and systems, both from this threat and all others, he added. The worm is suspected to have infected million of computers running the Windows operating system and Windows maker Microsoft has offered a USD 250,000 bounty for those responsible for the worm. US-CERT recommended that Windows users apply Microsoft security patch MS08-067 to help provide protection against the worm. The patch is designed to prevent an attacker from remotely taking control of an infected computer system and installing additional malicious software.
